Mark Seager and Walt Tomme of Cedar Run Community Church (Oak Hill, Va.) traveled to Baja Verapaz, Guatemala, April 23-28 for both an MOV and pastor’s training conference.
They taught on teaching and preaching skills, reaching and training men for leadership, why men matter to God, and more.
A particular challenge facing churches and families here is little work opportunity, forcing men to leave families for extended periods to find employment in other cities. Mark and Walt discussed with the pastors how churches can support and encourage the men and their families while separated. Additionally, 100 public school boys heard God’s call as men of valor.
Cedar Run Church has supported MOV for several years. To date, Mark has led or co-led five MOV conferences in four countries.
