In keeping with the Holy Bible and the historic evangelical position of the Church, we believe in the following:
- The inerrancy and divine inspiration of Scripture, which provides the model, examples, and principles for men to live by.
- The Triune God – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
- The sinful, lost condition of the human race.
- The virgin birth, substitutionary death, bodily resurrection, and imminent return of Jesus Christ.
- That salvation is through faith in Jesus Christ alone and is a gift that cannot be lost.
- The indwelling of the Holy Spirit in all who have received the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior.
- The reality of heaven and hell, as the only two ultimate destinies for humanity.
- The existence and personality of Satan.
- Christians are disciples of Jesus Christ and are called to live holy lives that honor him.
- The Universal Church — the Body of Christ – consisting of all who call on the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation.
- The Ordinances of Baptism and the Lord’s Supper.
- The mission of the Church to “go and make disciples” (Matthew 28:19-20).
- The final Judgment.
These are the foundational doctrines from which we build the MOV Mission: It is the call of God for Christian men to be men of valor, as described in the Bible; living for Him and leading His church, their marriages, families, and communities for the glory of God.
Men of Valor believes that if you can change the man you can change the marriage. That if you change the man you will change the family. That if you change the man, you will change the church, the community, the country... We believe change starts with addressing the root of the matter: The men. It’s unlikely that communities and countries will experience change in the long term if the men aren’t reached and discipled.
We want to see men become men of valor.
